Sky Sports pundit Ian Botham wants Ben Stokes recalled for the fifth Test saying: “He is a talented cricketer with a big future. But he is not going to progress playing one-day games for Durham.”
Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has angered staff at the club by stopping them from getting free tickets to matches. They were previously given a complimentary four tickets per match for family members in an executive box.
West Ham will have to double their offer to Sunderland if they want to sign Connor Wickham. The Black Cats wants around £8m, while the Hammers have reportedly offered £4m.
QPR are confident that £7m target Jonathan de Guzman will be signed from Villarreal in time for their season opening fixture against Hull.
