Akwa United 0-1 FC Taraba
The Promise Keepers failed to consolidate on their impressive away draw in Aba against Enyimba last weekend after they lost by a lone goal against visitors Jalingo Boys which was coach Zachary Baraje’s first home match of the season.
The only goal of the match was scored by Usman Mohammed after a good assist from Abdulmalik Mohammed in the 29th minute.. The ill tempered game saw Akwa United two players given the marching orders for unsporting conduct.
FC Taraba sit atop the log with six points from two games.
Nasarawa United 2-0 Wikki Tourists
The Solid Miners made good their vow to secure their first maximum points of the season after they spanked Wikki Tourists by two goals on Sunday.
Esosa Igbinoba gave the Lafia side the ascendancy in the first half before Ibrahim Ibrahim doubled the tally in the second half of the proceedings.
It was a nice way to bounce back from their nightmarish start against El Kanemi Warriors last weekend.
Enugu Rangers 2-1 Sharks

The Afonja calmly added three vital points to their haul after goals from Evans Iyoro and Segun Alebiosu in the 16th and 35th minutes handed them victory at the Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin.
Kwara United dominated the game but missed several scoring chances after the two they got in the first half. El Kanemi threatened a turnaround in the second half but the Afonja Warriors only allowed the club to pull a goal back.
Kano Pillars 2-0 Bayelsa United
Sai Masu Gida showed Nigerians that they have overcome the trauma of the recent armed robbery attack after they posted a good outing to silence the Restoration Boys 2-0 in Kano.
Pillars raced into the lead through Adamu Mohammed before Ubong Ekpai killed off the resistance left in the visitors with the second goal.
3SC 1-2 Heartland
The Oluyole Warriors crumbled again after their surprise loss of last week against Wikki Tourists. 3SC were beaten by Heartland at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan on Saturday.
The Naze Millionaires proved to be the better side of the day when they drew the first blood in the 16th minute through Ebere Odiche before the home team rallied back to equalize in the 66th minute through Taofeek Adepoju with Jimoh Oni scoring the winner for the visitors with six minutes left.
