Ighalo hits four, Eduok scores on debut

Nigerian forward, Jude Ighalo, on Saturday continued his blazing form for Watford as he scored four goals in their 7-2 win over Blackpool in the English Championship.

Ighalo struck in the 47th, 54th, 73rd and 81st minutes to hand the maximum points to his side in an encounter which was dominated by Watford at the Vicarage Road Stadium.

Ighalo, who joined the club from Granada in the summer, now has 11 goals for Watford this season.

Super Eagles forward, Emem Eduok, also made a scoring debut for Tunisian side, Esperance, in their 5-2 loss to Libyan side, Al Ittihad, in a friendly match played on Saturday.

Eduok scored the first goal for Esperance on 71 minute before assisting the second on 84 minute.

The former Flying Eagles player joined the Tunisian side for an undisclosed sum and was unveiled last week to put an end to the transfer debacle involving him, Esperance and Norwegian club, Sarpsborg.

In France, Eagles captain, Vincent Enyeama, was beaten for the second consecutive week in Lille’s 1-0 loss to AS Monaco, which featured Elderson Echiejile for 90 minutes, on Saturday.

Enyeama, who had played all matches for Lille this season, was beaten by Dimitar Berbatov in the 57th minute.

He was also beaten in a 1-0 loss at Lorient last week.

In Spain, Flying Eagles forward, Isaac Success, was unlisted by Granada in their 2-2 draw at Deportivo La Coruna on Sunday.

Success has played 15 times for Granada and has scored one goal this season.

Eagles Forward, Ikechukwu Uche, played for 65 minutes in Villareal’s 1-0 win over Levante on Saturday.

He was substituted for Giovanni Dos Santos.

In Turkey, Emmanuel Emenike played for 89 minutes in Fenerbahce’s 3-0 win over Kasimpasa in the Turkish Premier League on Saturday. The forward was replaced by Cameroonian Pierre Webo.
