Global Sports : New York Awaits Big Kick-off

New York is gearing for a double-header to kick off the new MLS season, with both sides featuring live on Sky Sports on Sunday night.
New York City FC make their MLS debut, playing in front of more than 60,000 fans when they travel to Florida to take on Orlando, with coverage kicking off from 9pm on Sky Sports 3.
World Cup winner David Villa will take to the turf for New York, while Brazil legend Kaka is lining up for the opposition.
Villa is raring to go ahead of Sunday’s clash and told Sky Sports he’s looking forward to playing in front of a bumper crowd.
“I’m happy so many people want to see this game,” he said.
“It’s a big game for everyone – for us, for them, for the whole of US football.”
Meanwhile, City’s local rivals New York Red Bulls take on Sporting Kansas City in the second live game of the night, live from 11pm on Sky Sports 3.
Red Bulls made it to the semi-finals of the MLS Cup last year and will be keen to kick off their new campaign with victory.
