Financial advisory firm, Deloitte is bringing its international industry ranking award programme to Africa in order to recognise technology companies that have achieved the fastest rates of revenue growth in Africa over the past five years.
The award programme called The Technology Fast50 Africa, which has already started accepting nominations since June 1, would be acknowledging the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in Africa based on their revenue growth over the last five years.
According to Deloitte, the award winners would receive industry recognition for achieving sustainable success over the last five years; an exclusive invitation to the winners’ awards ceremony at the beginning of September; and an automatic entry into the Deloitte Technology Fast500 EMEA, a ranking of the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa over the last five years.
The awards programme has previously recognised some of the most dynamic players in all areas of technology, from Internet specialists to biotech, digital media technology to life sciences, computers to semiconductors and software to telecommunications.
Nominations for the awards close on 31st July 2014 and winners would be announced in early September 2014. The ranking would be compiled from nominations submitted directly to the website as well as public company database research conducted by Deloitte.
The award winners for 2014 would be determined based on percentage fiscal year revenue growth from 2009 to 2013.
